Your first Dailyz post in about four minutes

Create an account and a workspace, tell the Brand voice panel what you are, who it is for, how it sounds and which facts it may use, then type a topic and press Generate a post. The carousel lands in To review. Arrow through the slides, read any warning, press A to approve, then download the zip or publish it. Nothing has to be connected to Instagram for the first one.

Before you start

Have your facts within reach: prices, hours, address, services, the reviews you are proud of. Nothing goes on a slide that is not in this list. This guide follows How it works at the keyboard.

Step 1. Create the account and the workspace

  1. Press Start free. The form asks for an email, a password, your name and a name for the first workspace. A workspace is one brand: its voice, its facts, its queue and, later, its Instagram account.
  2. You land on a set-up screen with three steps: Brand voice, Instagram, Posting schedule. Only the first is needed for a first post. The other two can wait until you have seen what it writes.

Step 2. Fill in Brand voice

Open Brand voice. Every post, written or revised, is written from this panel. The fields, top to bottom:

Press Save brand voice. Blank fields keep a neutral default, so you do not have to fill everything in before the first post. The facts block is the one that matters. Your own photos go in the photo library on the Compose screen and are used before any stock photo; they can wait until after the first post.

Step 3. Type a topic

  1. Back on the queue, find the generate bar. Type a topic, for example "5 lunch specials under $15 this week".
  2. Add an angle if you want one, for example "for people who work nearby". It is optional.
  3. Set the slide count. The default is 7: a cover, five middle slides and a closing. The range is 3 to 20. Instagram publishes up to 10 slides; a longer post is still built and downloadable in full.
  4. Leave the layout on "writer decides" for the first one.
  5. Press Generate a post. A progress line shows the build. You can open Brand voice or switch tabs while it runs; it lands in To review when it is done.

The writer picks the shape of the post, a checklist, a story, a myth versus fact, a before and after, and so on, and each slide is either a photo or a graphic card: a receipt, a stat, a timeline, a customer quote, a this-or-that, among others.

Step 4. Review it in the queue

The review queue has three tabs: To review, Approved, Rejected. Open the new post. The carousel sits on the left in a phone frame, and the copy, caption, hashtags and any warnings sit on the right.

Under the copy is a box called Ask for changes. A sentence is enough: "remove the price on slide 3". The post is revised in the same brand voice and stays in the queue for your decision.

Step 5. Read the warnings

Every warning sits next to the approve button, so you see it before the post can go anywhere. The ones you will meet:

Step 6. Approve, then download or publish

  1. Press A. The post moves to Approved.
  2. Download gives you a zip with every slide as an image and a caption.txt, ready to post by hand from your phone.
  3. Publish now sends the approved post to every connected account at once. It needs an Instagram professional account, Business or Creator, connected from the Instagram panel. During the beta you press Request to connect there and we email you when your account is ready; until then, download the zip and post it yourself.
  4. Or leave it in Approved and let Autopilot post it at the time you set. That is the daily routine, covered in Batch a month in an afternoon.

Guest logins can generate and review but never approve or publish. If you gave a client a guest seat, the A key does nothing for them.

Tomorrow

Once the brand voice is set, the queue shows three recommendations each morning, and one click writes one. Turn on Autopilot and the day's post is written for you and held for the same review. Then set up the keyword funnel.

Questions people ask

Do I need to connect Instagram before my first post?

No. You can write, review, approve and download a post with nothing connected. Connecting a professional Instagram account is only needed to publish from inside Dailyz.

What does a warning on a post mean?

Most often that a slide states a figure your brand facts do not contain. The warning names the slide and the figure. Add the fact under Brand voice, ask for the line to be removed in the chat, or edit the slide, then approve.

Does the first post cost anything?

Creating the account costs nothing. Plans are $99 a month for one brand and $249 for Unlimited, and you can cancel from Billing inside the app.
